The Pack of Drawing Skies is known for it's combat skills. They have plenty of hunters, but they are VERY good at fighting, when they wish to fight. This does NOT make them invisible in battle, but they are very hard to defeat. They are loyal and brave, most would die for their packmates. They are protective of their beliefs, and usually welcome new wolves. This sometime's depends on the wolf's history. They live in lush, green forest.

The Pack of Falling Stars is known for it's formidable skill in tactics. These wolves are smart, and can quickly turn the tide of a battle with the right set of tactics. They are known for their hunting, stealth, and speed. Generally smaller wolves then those in the Pack of Drawing Skies. They make up what they lack in strength in cunning and stealth. They would have an advantage due to their smaller size, making it easier for them to avoid attacks, though perhaps making those attacks they do get hit with more serious. They are very intelligent and fast.

The Pack of Mountain Valleys is the youngest of the packs, and known for their climbing and jumping ability, as neither of the other packs may do this. These are sturdy, built wolves, medium in size. They are best in balance, and are fairly good at both hunting and fighting, though not perfect at either. They are very flexible, and can avoid blows. These wolves are known for their endurance and trust. They will not trust someone from the first moment, but once they get to know someone, they are able to trust them completely.

The Pack of Spirit Wolves is the heavenly pack that houses all The Spotted Way wolves' spirits after they die. These wolves spend their time watching over the packs, never sleeping, as they are almost always at rest watching. The Spirit Wolves can influence the ways of the packs, but they can only do so much. It takes up their energy to do things such as appear in dreams or give a sign to a wolf. The Spirit Wolves are not the highest form of the dead. The Divines are the seven wolf gods that created the world and the universe for the wolves to live. The Divines hardly ever influence the workings of the world, but when they do they can do anything they fancy. The Divines should not be taken lightly. Offerings can be buried to keep them happy, and it is highly suggested that wolves do this every once in a while to keep the Divines satisfied.

Echo was the original Site Owner of the Spotted Way. She created most of what is already here. All credit goes to her in the creation of the Spotted Way. Due to bandwidth problems that happened on the last website the Spotted Way functioned on, Feather supplied this new domain. The Spotted Way's history could go on, but can also be found here.

Characters will be listed on the Spotted Way's wolf website located here.

The Spotted Way follows a unique hierarchy as detailed below.

Alpha & Alphess - The Alphas are the leaders of the pack. They try their best to keep up with the going-ons within the pack. They see each of the pack members as family and make important decisions that reflect the growth and welfare of the entire pack. The Alphas create the rules for the pack and makes sure they are properly enforced. They decide on ranking, assessments, and banishment of wolves. They are also responsible for maintaining the pack's territory. The Alphas call group hunts and decide when and where to hunt, along with the Betas and Lead Hunter. The Alphas provide an emotional center for the family and focus on friendly feeling in the pack. One of the most important social functions of the Alphas is to help maintain an even temper and bond of the pack. During pack meetings, most issues will be discussed with the pack as a whole. The final decision will be made by the Alphas after all opinions are heard. The Alphas have the final say in everything, yet act only for the good of the pack. The Alpha and Alphess are a mated pair but the Pack can survive with only one rank if the other is not filled.

Beta & BetessThe Beta wolves are the second ranking individuals within the dominance hierarchy. They show commitment and loyalty to the pack, also acting as a discipliner to reinforce the Alpha's decisions. The Betas stand in as Alphas when the Alphas are not present. They answer to no one but their Alphas, but are expected, as with all members, to show respect to every wolf. They also assist the Alphas with any conflicts within the pack and enforce the rules, keeping peace within the clearing. Betas may also call hunts, deciding when and where to hunt, along with the Hunters. In pack meetings, the Betas' answers and suggestions are the second most important, being trusted advisers to the Alpha. The Beta and Betess are a mated pair but the Pack can survive with only one rank if the other is not filled.

Healer & Priest - The Healer and Priest are wolves that show interest and skill in caring for weakened packmates. They also watch over the older or ill wolves of the Pack. The Healer and Priest of the Pack ensures when any wolf is wounded in the pack, they will strive to heal their packmate. They serve as a support unit, and try to keep the pack in a healthy state. If they feel a wolf is not strong or rested enough to hunt, they are to inform the Alphas and Betas. The pack cannot survive without a Healer or Priest. The Healer and Priest has to be stern to the wounded. Many wolves will insist they are fine. A good Healer and Priest needs to know what injuries are serious and what injuries can heal on their own. They need to make sure a wounded wolf does not over exert themselves. They need to be firm in having the wolf rest. The Healer and Priest are a mated pair but the Pack can survive with only one rank if the other is not filled.

Lead Fighter - The Lead Fighter is an exceptionally skilled fighter; the best in the Pack. The Lead Fighter leads battle patrols and more often border patrols if the Alphas or Betas do not attend. Their job is to protect the Pack.

Lead Hunter - The Lead Hunter is an exceptionally skilled hunter and tracker; the best in the Pack. The Lead Hunter leads pack hunts if the Alphas or Betas do not attend. Their job is to make sure the Pack has enough food.

The Hunters are those wolves who are exceptionally skilled at tracking and hunting down prey. They can range from 1 year to 5 years, large or small, but it is mainly their skill as a Hunter that counts. The Hunters make sure that the Pack has a full abundance of food. After large hunts, the lead Hunter will memo with an update of the food available . Hunters lead the hunts along with the Alpha and/or Beta, directing the members on when it is their turn to charge at the prey. Two titles of the ranked Sweet Mystic Hunter are the Ambusher and Tracker. These titles are given to those ranked Hunters that are exceptionally skilled with certain hunting techniques.

Scout - Scouts are responsible for warning the Pack of dangers, if any. They are to report any important changes to the Alpha and Beta. These include if a new Pack is formed Scouts are to find out who is the Alpha or Alphas and if the Pack is peaceful. Another change includes the banishment of a certain wolf; Scouts are to find out who was banished from where and why. Scouts must be able to enter enemy and unknown territory to obtain information to keep their pack safe and knowledgeable about the territory and wolves around them.

Messenger - Messengers are responsible for carrying messages from Pack to Pack. They are to send the Alpha or Beta's word to another pack when directed to. The Messenger may also deliver messages from  regular wolves in the pack, but may not. The Messenger must be able to enter enemy and unknown territory without being found or leaving a trace of their visit. This wolf must also be very swift and nimble on their paws.

Adult - The Adult wolf is the general rank of the Pack. Most wolves of the Pack are adults. They hunt and fight for their pack when told to do so. A select few become Mentors and train newly appointed Apprentices.

Apprentice - Apprentices are younger aged wolves. They are older than pups but are not quite adult wolves just yet. They must go through training under an adult wolf, a Mentor, before they can become an adult in the Pack. Apprentices are expected to train when their Mentor says to, they must follow all Pack rules, hunt, fight, and perform other duties when directed to.

Pup - Pups are the youngest aged wolves in the Pack. They have no responsibilities in the Pack yet and are to stay near their mother and in camp unless taken out by an older Pack member. Once they are old enough they become Apprentices and are given a Mentor.

Omega - The Omega is the lowest rank in the Pack. This wolf is not treated harshly per-say, but they are not treated as well as an adult in the Pack. The Omega is generally a wolf who has left the Pack and has re-entered and is under evaluation or a wolf that is looking to join the Pack but is still under evaluation of the Alphas and Betas.

The Spotted Way-Bandwidth Issues

The fromer Spotted Way is still there, and there is a reason it was not deleted. In case this website ever faces the same bandwidth issues the former Spotted Way had, we can move back to the former Spotted Way roleplay site because the bandwidth was refreshed and there is no longer and threat of webs deleting it at the moment. So, should any bandwidth issues re-occur, we keep both Spotted Way websites in exsistance.

News

Updated on Friday, March 22nd, 2016

Okay guys, we're still in hiatus, but I'm going to try and revive the site again in the summer. No one has school during summer, and there are plenty of people on the internet who are bored out of their minds. This time, instead of trying to move the location again(clearly not working for any of us), I want to focus on making this website more appealing. I was thinking of having us all start a new generation of SW wolves as I tried once before. It didn't work, but I think that some of us just have too many characters to manage... I want it to be the site's decision as a whole though, so I will compose a new message at the beginning of summer to go over ideas, and have those active vote on the suggestion they think is best. I will be logging in every week(Unless something truly drastic happens) to check my inbox. Anyone, even people who were not on the site before, is welcome to send me a message if they wish to help during the summer. Even just being there is good enough. I would appreciate if you tell me when your summer starts; you don't have to be on at first if you can't, but a rough estimate of when you'll be on and active would be great. I have sent a composed message to site staff, so if you are a high ranking member of the site please check your inbox when you log on; this includes Moderators.

To keep track, I'm putting the list of people here:

Rose(Obviously me): Still logging in and checking, so far no one has responded. I will be free to be more active after May.
